MMD Increases Reach and Deliverability of Press Release Distribution by Integrating with the Associated Press (AP) Satellite Feed

November 5, 2008 - - In addition to our regular methods of distribution, Mass Media Distribution LLC is now transmitting press releases to Associated Press (AP) subscribers by their satellite-to-computer network. The AP network is now integrated into MMD's local, nationwide and worldwide distribution packages. This new feature significantly expands MMD's media footprint. The additional distribution will be provided to MMD customers at no additional charge, representing substantial added-value for its clients.

Daily newspapers and TV networks in the top 100 US markets as well as several European markets are included in the feed. Our releases arrive by the same satellite feed that contains news from the Associated Press and other news services.

This new feature guarantees that our press releases are given high priority and immediate attention in the newsrooms. AP, the world's largest news gathering organization, is the source that all newspapers and TV networks rely on to receive urgent and important news every day.

Unlike press releases sent only by email, fax or posting online, releases that are delivered by the AP's satellite-to-computer network do not involve the problems associated with the internet. Press releases sent by satellite feed are not lost in the crowd or erased by spam filters.

Our press releases are alongside all the other news content from the AP and then an automated system routes the information to the correct editor or program director depending on the subject of the press release. Although we are including this new feature, all of our other delivery methods will remain the same.
