Improved RSS Feeds at Mass Media Distribution LLC

December 8, 2005 - We have recently completed a large project of improving our RSS feeds. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." RSS is a relatively new technology to share content and news online. Unlike in other industries, RSS is widely accepted in the news industry. You can view our new RSS page here: http://www.mmdnewswire.com/index.php?option=com_rssfeeds

Our customers will benefit from this new RSS feed system, because more media contacts will subscribe to the RSS feed and see their press releases. Customers will further benefit, because more web sites and blogs will pick the RSS feeds that links to their press release.

We hired a full-time programmer to undertake a number of projects at mmdnewswire.com . The RSS feed improvements were the highest priority due to the large number of media contacts interested in receiving our news feeds. Our RSS feeds are now as good or better than any other news distribution service.

New Features of Improved RSS System:

We now have RSS feeds for each category of press releases at mmdnewswire.com.
Individuals or media contacts with Yahoo, Google or My MSN RSS readers can now click on a single link to add our news feeds to their RSS reader.
RSS feeds are now available in RSS 2.0, RSS 0.91 and RDF format.
“today’s headlines” and “top 30 releases” feeds are now available
Our focus continues to be on distributing press releases by email and fax because this is the most effective way to get noticed by print and broadcast media contacts. However, we feel the need to add features like RSS, because it is relatively inexpensive. We were able to add RSS for $2,000 (including data migration). Once this feature is added, no maintenance or further expenses are required. All RSS feeds are updated automatically from the press releases entered at mmdnewswire.com

If you distributed a press release with us in the last 30 days, your press release is part of our RSS feed. If it has been more than 30 days since you sent out a press release and you do not have new news to write a press release about, you should re-write your previous press release and have us send it out again.

We encourage all interested parties to use our relevant news feeds, in their most convenient form, on their Web sites. The new link to our RSS page is: http://www.mmdnewswire.com/index.php?option=com_rssfeeds
