Online Press Release Archive Launched on June 6, 2006 In addition to sending press releases directly to journalists and editors by email and fax, we are now posting press releases to our new online archive at www.mmdnewswire.com. We frequently have journalists contacting us for story ideas. We are now able to direct them to a web site where they can choose from a large number of possible stories. In order to test the new site, we posted about 350 press releases from 2006. If we distributed a press release for you this year, check to see if your press release has been posted. If we did not post your press release, and you would like it to be posted, send us an email. We have spent the last 6 months building the new web site. We believe it is the most attractive and user friendly news archive ever built. Our goal was to focus on the news content and not overload the site with a lot of fancy design or graphics. The new site is designed to be a place to find interesting press releases. Features of mmdnewswire.com: About an hour ago, we received confirmation from Google that the press releases posted to our website will start appearing in “Google News” within 3 weeks. We have not heard back from “Yahoo News” yet, but we expect them to pick up our stories as well since we spend $2,500 per month advertising on their search engine. We are still in the process of activating the hyperlinks for the old press releases. All new press releases will have hyperlinks that work. Our focus continues to be on distributing press releases directly to journalists and editors rather than simply posting press releases to web sites. Online press releases are a nice feature but the only real way to get the attention from the media is to send the press release directly to them rather that waiting for them to find stories online. -- We are sending you this newsletter because you subscribed online or you are a customer. If you no longer wish to receive these newsletter, reply with unsub in the subject line. | ||
